EA Says its XBox One 'Access' Gaming Subscription Service is a Success

Back in July, EA Launched a New Gaming Subscription Service, Exclusively on the XBox One. EA Access Allows Users to Pay a Flat Monthly Rate of £3.99 GBP or $4.99 USD a Month (or £19.99 / $29.99 for a Full Year) for Unlimited Gameplay on a Range of Titles that will Continue to Grow, along with Early Access to Certain Games and a 10% Discount on Digital Purchases. EA Access Exited its Beta Phase in August, Allowing Anyone to Sign Up over the Last Couple of Months since then - and it Seems that, the Service has been Something of a Success so Far. As CVG Reports, EA CEO Andrew Wilson Said during an Earnings Call this Week that, Access has been Growing "well beyond early expectations".

The 'Vault' of Games on EA Access currently includes FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed: Rivals but, New Titles will be Regularly Added, Growing into a Much Larger Library of Games, Offering Even Better Value over Time. Microsoft Called EA Access "very much a game-changer" in the Gaming World - a View Not Shared by its Main Console Rival. Sony Dismissed the Service as Offering Insufficient Value to PS4 Owners and Declined EA's Invitation to Offer Access on its Console - so, for Now, EA Access Remains Available Solely on the XBox One.
