Microsoft Acquires Mobile Business Intelligence Service, Datazen

Microsoft has been Buying Up Smaller Companies at a Regular Frequency over the Past Few Quarters and Now the Company is Adding Another One to its Portfolio. The Company Called, Datazen, has a Specialty in Data Visualization on Windows, iOS and Android Devices. The Reason Microsoft Bought this Company was to Accelerate their Power BI Strategy and this Acquisition will Give them Leverage in the Mobile Space across All of the Popular Operating Systems. To No Surprise, this Product will Eventually be Integrated into the Company's Existing Power BI Suite of Tools.

With Mobile Devices Becoming the New Go-To Devices for Employees to Consume Data, it Makes Sense for Microsoft to Aggressively Pursue this Market so that, its Products Work Well on All Devices and that, they're Prepared for the Modern Mobile Workforce. Per Usual, No Price was Given for the Acquisition but, if the Charge was High Enough to Have a Material Impact, the Company would be Obligated to Report the Transaction in their Earnings for the Quarter. With the Rise of IOT, Analytics will Only Play a Bigger Role in Organizations Going Forward and with this Acquisitions, along with Power BI, Microsoft is Gearing Up to Make Sure their Platform is Ready for the Next Generation of Data.
