Way Back in January Fox TV Group Chairman, Gary Newman, Confirmed that, they’re Working to Resurrect, "The X-Files", with Both Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny Returning as 'Dana Scully' and 'Fox Mulder', respectively. Now, a Report on TVWise States that, 20th Century Fox Television is Close to Giving an Official Green-Light to a Revival of their Iconic Science Fiction Series, which Originally Aired between 1993 and 2002. They Indicate that Fox is Close to a Deal (Nothing Signed Yet), with Plans for a “Short-Stack” Order to Accommodate for Anderson and Duchovny’s Busy Schedules. While the Exact Size of the Order is Yet-to-be-Determined, they’re Told it will be Less than 10 Episodes (the Daily Mail had a Report that it will be 6).
The Revival is Aimed to Close Out the Lingering Storylines Left by the Series Proper. Chris Carter is Returning to the Helm, will Pen the Scripts and will also Serve as an Executive Producer on "The X-Files" Revival. Fox is Aiming to Make a "Big Announcement" just Ahead of their Upfront Presentation in New York City this Coming May, Adds the Site. After the Disastrous 2008 Strike Film, The X Files: I Want to Believe, I Want Nothing More than to See 'Mulder' and 'Scully' Return to Wipe the Bad Taste Out of my Mouth and Bring "The X-Files" to a New Generation of those Looking to the Sky for Answers.
