Nintendo: "40 Million 3DS Systems Sold in North America To Date"

Nintendo Announced on Thursday that, it has Sold over 40 Million 3DS Systems in the United States since the System Launched in March of 2011. Nintendo Made its Announcement alongside the NPD Group Numbers for July, which Showed that, 4 of the Top-10 Best Selling Games at U.S. Retail were for the System. Nintendo Didn't Say How Many of these Sales were Bundles or if it Included Sales Numbers for the 2DS in the Figure. On the Software Side, Nintendo Revealed that, Mario Kart 7 has Sold 3.48 Million Units to-Date, Super Mario 3D Land has Sold 3.09 Million, New Super Mario Bros. 2 Sold 2.28 Million, Pokémon X and Y Sold around 2.01 Million Each, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D Sold 1.39 Million, Animal Crossing: New Leaf has Sold 1.36 Million, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon Sold 1.33 Million and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Sold 1.09 Million. Nintendo Said that Expects to Sell 12 Million 3DS Units Worldwide in the Current Financial Year. Key upcoming Software Releases include Super Smash Bros for Wii U & 3DS in October and Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire in November.
