Apple's "iWatch" : What We Know So Far

Seasoned Apple Watchers will probably Have been Aware of Familiar Vibes Emanating from Cupertino a Few Months Back — Namely, that Everything Went Mighty Quiet. After the Quietness Came a Few Big Interviews and Profiles of Apple's Top Dogs — CEO Tim Cook and Jony Ive, the British Industrial Designer Who Turned Apple into a Small White Goods Firm — and One of the Biggest Corporations in the World. When this Happens, it usually Means that, Something Big is Due to be Announced. And that Big Thing Can Only be One Thing — a Small Object that you Strap onto your Wrist and it Teleports you to Exciting New Territories and Strange, Uncharted Worlds. Well, I Obviously Made that Last Bit Up — we're Not Quite in a Star Trek Era just Yet — but, if you Cast your Mind Back to What the iPod, iPhone and iPad did, which was Change the Entire Landscape of Not just Personal Technology but, of What these Tiny Slabs of Power Tucked into our Pockets Can do for us, then it is True that, this Trio of Devices has Taken us to Places we Never Thought were Possible. And so, What is the Next iThing that Apple will Release ?

It's Almost Certainly Going to be Using a Device Known as the "iWatch". For Over 2 Years, there has been Talk of the Mythical Wearable and the Armies of Brainboxes Working on it but Now, the Chatter is Becoming Harder to Ignore. The Wall Street Journal, generally Seen as Apple's Mouthpiece, Ran a Piece at the End of Last Week that Tossed a Few Tasty Morsels our Way. The Publication Says, there's Going to be Multiple Versions of the "iWatch" and Over 10 Sensors which Can Monitor the Wearer's Vital Signs. Similarly, Reuters Reported a Day Earlier, the "iWatch" would Have a "display that likely measures 2.5-inches diagonally and is slightly rectangular" with "the face protruding slightly from the band, creating an arched shape". Reuters' Report also Claims, the "iWatch" will Have Wireless Charging. Apple's "iWatch" (or Whatever it'll actually be Called) is Expected to be Released in the 4th Quarter of 2014. Production in Taiwan May be Starting as Early as Next Month. There is almost No Question that, the "iWatch" is Going to be Health-Related.

The Company's New Hires (from Sleep Experts to Fashion CEOs and Even Basketball Giant, Kobe Bryant, is Said to Have been Testing Out the Device, alongside Other Sports Stars) Seem to Suggest as Much. Just Look How the Health Technology Sector is Taking Off, with a 62% Increase in the Use of Health-Related Apps in the Past 6 Months. That's almost Double the Use of Other Apps. And, since Apple's New iOS 8 Comes with a Fully-Functioning Suite of Health-Related Features, an "iWatch" Based Around Tracking your Body Stats is Practically a Shoe in. No, the "iWatch" is Not Confirmed Yet, but, as Ive, Who has Resolutely Swerved All Talk of Wrist-Located Wearables — Even on Kids' TV — Told the New York Times Last Week, "it is hard for all of us to be patient. It was hard for Steve (Jobs). It is hard for Tim". Well, Jony, it's Hard for us too, you Know.
